title: Octopus’s Garden

overview: I’m a new game developer, and “Octopus’s Garden” is one of my first projects. Thank you to anyone who takes the time to play and rate my game.

Gameplay: In “Octopus’s Garden”, you control an octopus exploring a thriving underwater ecosystem. you can enjoy the game however you want swim around freely get a group of sea creatures to follow along and swim with you, help lead the lost baby manatee back to his family, if you wake the giant squid he may chase you! Leave the octopus idle for 30 seconds, and it will autonomously explore the ocean while you watch.

Instructions: Use the arrow keys to swim around, the tab key to change colors and the spacebar to have a sea creature join or leave your group (not all sea creatures will join you)

Objective: The game aims to provide players with a moment of peace and escape from the chaos of the outside world, mirroring the harmonious coexistence of the octopus and its aquatic companions. swim around and enjoy the enviroment, help the lost baby manatee find his family and try to wake the giant squid.

Development: The game was developed by rvrfrnk using GameMaker.

Future Plans: I plan to further develop this game by adding quests and a quest log, expanding the game area, adding power ups like speed boosts, introducing player customization options such as choosing the species of the playable character and adding more songs with a way to switch between them.
